Most jobs booked same or next day. No-start calls get priority.

What we do

Services on wheels

Thirteen of the jobs that keep North Jersey cars on the road — all performed at your location with professional tools and a real diagnostic scanner.

Technician running an OBD-II diagnostic scan on a vehicle

Computer Diagnostics

Check engine light scanned and explained — no guesswork.

Full OBD-II scan with live data. You get the actual fault code, what it means in plain English, and what it costs to fix before anything is touched.

Fresh engine oil being poured during an oil change

Oil & Filter Change

Conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic, at your door.

Quality oil and a new filter, fluids topped off, and a quick under-hood look while we're there. Old oil is hauled away and recycled.

Brake rotor, caliper and wheel hub during a brake job

Brake Service

Pads, rotors, calipers and fluid bleeding.

Grinding, squealing, soft pedal or a pulling stop — pads and rotors replaced in your driveway, calipers serviced, and the system properly bled.

Coil-over shock absorbers and suspension springs

Suspension Repair

Shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints and sway bar links.

Clunks over bumps, a bouncy ride or uneven tire wear usually start here. Worn components replaced with quality parts, on site.

Wheel hub and bearing assembly behind a brake rotor

Wheel Bearings & Hubs

Humming or growling that changes when you turn.

Bearing and hub assemblies diagnosed by road test and inspection, then pressed or bolted in — including the rusted-solid ones.

Driver holding the steering wheel of a car

Steering Components

Tie rods, ends and steering linkage.

Loose steering, wandering on the highway or a shaky wheel. Tie rods and linkage replaced and set for an alignment.

Serpentine belt and alternator pulleys in an engine bay

Alternator & Starter

Car won't crank or the battery light is on.

Charging and starting system tested before anything is replaced, so you don't buy a part you didn't need. Replacement done on the spot.

Mechanic lifting a car battery out of an engine bay

Battery & Electrical

Testing, replacement and electrical troubleshooting.

Battery, alternator output and parasitic draw testing. Bad grounds, corroded terminals and dead-in-the-driveway problems traced and fixed.

Set of used spark plugs removed from an engine

Spark Plugs & Coils

Misfires, rough idle and lost power.

Plugs and ignition coils replaced with the right heat range and gap. Misfire codes verified after the repair, not assumed.

A/C manifold gauge set mounted in the Freitag Mechanic service van

A/C Diagnostics & Repair

Blowing warm? Pressure tested and recharged.

Manifold gauge testing, leak detection, evacuate and recharge. If a component is failing, you'll know before you spend on refrigerant.

Engine bay being degreased and cleaned to trace an oil leak

Oil & Coolant Leaks

Finding the source, not just topping it off.

Puddles in the driveway and burning smells traced to the actual source — valve cover, oil pan, water pump, hoses — then sealed properly.

Timing chain and cam gears exposed during a gasket repair

Gaskets & Engine Repair

Valve covers, seals and minor engine work.

Gasket and seal replacement with a proper clean-up and torque spec, so the repair holds instead of weeping again in a month.

Transmission lowered out of a vehicle on a floor jack

Transmission & Drivetrain

Slipping, hard shifts and other mechanical faults.

Transmission diagnostics, fluid service and drivetrain troubleshooting. Honest assessment of what's worth repairing and what isn't.

Don't see your problem?

Strange noise, warning light, something just feels off — describe it on the phone and you'll get a straight answer about whether it can be fixed on site.

Questions

Good to know

Still unsure whether your repair can happen in a driveway? Call or text — you'll get a straight answer, even when the answer is “that one needs a shop.”

Ask a question
What does “mobile mechanic” actually mean?

It means the shop comes to you. The van carries the tools, the scanner, the jack and stands, air tools, a battery charger and A/C equipment. Most repairs happen right in your driveway, your parking spot or your workplace lot — you don't drop the car off and you don't wait in a lobby.

How much does a service call cost?

You get a price before any work starts. Call or text with your year, make, model and what the car is doing, and you'll get a straight quote for parts and labor. Diagnostic work is quoted up front too — no surprise line items at the end.

Do you supply the parts, or can I buy my own?

Either way works. Quality parts can be supplied and installed, or you can buy your own and pay for labor only. If you supply parts, bring the exact fitment for your VIN so the job doesn't stall halfway.

Is there anything you can't do on site?

Jobs that need a lift, a tire machine or an alignment rack have to go to a shop — full exhaust work, tire mounting and balancing, and heavy internal engine or transmission rebuilds. Everything else on the service list gets done where the car sits.

What areas do you cover?

Newark and the surrounding towns across Essex, Hudson, Union, Bergen and Passaic counties. If you're near the edge of the map, call — it's usually still a yes.

How fast can you get to me?

Same-day and next-day slots are common, and roadside no-start calls get priority when the schedule allows. Text a photo or a short video of the problem and you'll get a realistic time window, not a vague promise.

Should I text or call?

Text is best. A photo or short video of the leak, the warning light or the worn part tells us more in three seconds than five minutes of description, and it means the van shows up with the right parts already on board. Calls are answered too — texts just get the fastest, most accurate reply.

Which languages do you speak?

English and Portuguese — write in whichever you're comfortable with.
